Moving into a dorm room is a big step! Although you're probably thrilled to be getting some new independence, moving out is a difficult rite of passage for both parents and students. One thing that can make the transition a little easier is to make your dorm room more homey and cozy. After a long day of classes, it will feel nice to have a comfortable place to relax. And no, you don't have to spend a fortune to have a nice dorm room. A few odds and ends from home, a few inexpensive purchases, and you can make your room delightful.
So what do you need for your college dorm room? The things you need fall into several categories:
- Dorm room necessities. These are the things you can't do without-- an alarm clock, linens, stuff to clean yourself with, flip flops to protect your feet from the slimy shower floors, and so forth.
