Would you rather live in a single-sex or a mixed-sex dormitory? At many colleges and universities, coed dorms are the most popular on-campus housing option. Some schools offer residence halls that have same-sex floors and wings, and others have mixed-sex floors. Much to the chagrin of many parents, incoming college freshmen often assume that coed dorms are the best housing option. However, there can be problems with this kind of living arrangement.
